April's 2010 meeting

The canvas wall hanging was nothing I've ever done before but it felt a lot like scrapbooking. Here is the example in the magazine that was Diane's inspiration:

You paint the canvas with acrylic paint and then you decorate it like you please. It couldn't be any easier.

Here are the spring themed cards for the swap:

Next meeting will be June 12 (May had too many conflicts). For the June and July meetings we are going to do 20 pages for a 12 x 12 scrapbook using Simply Scrapin' kits from Stampin' Up. Get your order to Diane by May 17. Also for August we are going to decorate with stamps an Avon canvas bag that holds those plastic grocery bags. The bag can be ordered with Beverly.
We didn't decide on the card swap theme for next time so let's do what we did last year in June. Make 2 Independence Day cards...1 to swap and 1 for Beverly to send to the military. Remember to add a note to the brave soldier inside.
