October 16 Meeting 2010

Saturday's workshop will be a mini scrapbook made out of envelopes like this tutorial because Reyne likes how it has a clean way of opening and closing. It only uses 3 envelopes but once you learn how to put this together you could adapt it to more.
You will need
2 12" x 12" coordinating solid card stock
Matching ribbon
Matching designer paper
Adhesive and red line tape
Stamps, ink, stickers, rub ons, etc. to go with the theme of your scrapbook
Photos and memorabilia like ticket stubs, artwork, newspaper clippings, etc.
Your regular tools (scissors, bone folder, paper cutter, etc.) and your creativity.
Diane will have these but bring yours if you have them:
3 business sized envelopes
bone folder
border punch
circle punch (1" or bigger)
tab punch
Our optional card swap theme will be autumn or Halloween. If you bring a card to swap then you go home with a card.
See ya'll Saturday at 1. Peggy you will be missed but see you next time.

July 2010 Meeting

Jacques greets us as we come in to the Scrap Shack then he has to go back to the big house because Diane says he's a thief. He likes our supplies as much as we do.

Today we added pictures to our scrapbook pages that we pre-assembled last time. See how busy we are? Sorry there aren't more pictures of finished pages to show you. I promise you a lot was accomplished.

Diane gave away old magazines too. See how happy Carol is with her goodies?

This month's black & white with hint-of-red swap cards were as cute as ever.

Next meeting on August 21 please try and make 2 cards - one with no particular theme to swap and one for Lori to send to her friend who is just starting chemotherapy.

June we did Scrapbooking

The Scrap Shack Chicks, 11 of us, worked on putting together scrapbooks at our June meeting. The kits of paper were pre-ordered and Diane had detail instructions on cutting and page designs to follow.

Our card swap was Red, White & Blue with extras made for our Marine Mom, Beverly, to send to the troops.
