CRACKED GLASS
After stamping your image and coloring it, ink up the entire piece with Versamark. Apply clear Ulta Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) and heat it.
Let it cool a bit and reapply Versamark and embossing powder - then heat. Repeat again, if needed (should look smooth, thick and shiny). Your image will be darker and the background will turn a light yellow.
After it is completely cooled, gently bend the piece until cracks appear. Rub with a yellow or brown ink pad and wipe off the excess ink with a paper towel. Here are most of our finished pieces.
REVERSE PRINT
Place plant cuttings on a piece of light watercolor paper (first may need to iron plant flat between a layer of newspaper). Add drops of any color re-inker to a mister bottle and spray the card inside a cardboard box.
Lift the plant straight up and you can either let dry or dab with a paper towel.
Here are a few samples:
On another post I'll have pictures on how Diane demonstrated making the cute flower.
FAUX METAL
For this technique we applied metalic embossing powder in multiple layers on a metalic piece of card stock. This process is similar to the cracked glass technique except you stamp directly on top of the last warm layer. No ink required but you should dip your stamp in versamark first so it releases easily. I only have one photo of this beautiful and elegant-looking technique.
Again the swap was a big success. We swapped match boxes this time.
