Our December Christmas 2010 Party and Dirty Santa gift swap has been canceled per Diane's request while her doctors figure out why she's been feeling bad for a few months and get her well. We will shoot for our January meeting therefore this will give us more time to create our gift swap. Here are the parameters Diane has requested for our project:
- handmade craft 3-D gift
- $5.00 limit on anything you might have to buy (ex: the base of something like a box or styrofoam thing-a-ma-jig; etc.)
- all Stampin' Up! products (current or retired)
- gift wrapped
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and A WONDERFUL AND SAFE NEW YEAR

December 2009 Project
When we first arrived at Diane's she gave each of us an embellished match box with 2 mini rubber stamps inside. We had our swap cards plus a card for Diane. Some of us even gave her gifts to show our appreciation of her opening up her Scrap Shack to us.

Diane taught us how to make 4 mini-cards out of 1 sheet of 12x12 inch cardstock and how to make a box to hold the cards out of 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 inch cardstock.

Here are our Christmas card swaps.

Next month, we return to meeting on the 3rd Saturday which will be Jan. 16, 2010. Save the date. We will learn some new punch art projects and a diaper fold card. The card swap was not discussed so the theme is open to anything you want to make. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone.

October Meeting - Recipe Books
Today we had a full house to make the 5 pocket Recipe Booklet. Diane had us choose what color packs we wanted and we got busy cutting right away. We ran over time but Diane was gracious to have us stay and finish as much as we wanted to. The book wasn't hard to make but just had a lot of cutting and stamping. Everyone loved the project.
Three book covers done:
My book was made with different designer paper and different color cardstock.
Here are the cards we swapped....have to say "Great Participation!"
Next month's meeting is November 21 and we will be swapping Thanksgiving/Fall cards. Diane will show us a new technique and then we will just "play." Bring whatever you want to work on.
