July meeting 2009

The turnout for our July meeting had quite a few ladies who had not come to the last meeting so we will complete our butterflies when we get home. Diane gave us the wire and instructions on how to make the butterfly antennae.

Diane then showed us all how to make a mini-book out of one 12" x 12" piece of cardstock. Also known as a Maze Book.

Score at 3", 6" and 9". Turn your paper and score again at 3", 6" and 9". Then cut like this:

Then fold back and forth on to itself. Sally wants to know if hers is folded right.

Then more instructions were given on assembling the mini book (after making slits for tags) with red line tape.

Add ribbon and a cover:

Here are a few completed books:

Next Reyne passed out instructions on how to make the tri-shutter card.

Some ladies caught on so quick they had time to decorate theirs.

For the card swap, Reyne's cousin, Jane, made her popsicle card right before the meeting. The other cards were just as cute.

It was nice to see the next generation continuing our love of paper crafting. Beverly's granddaughter caught on very well.
